SAMDOSHAS

5 type of vata

  • Prana /respiration
  • Samana/Stomach
  • udana/throat
  • apana/colon
  • vyana/circulation

5 fires of pitta

  • pachaka /stomach
  • ranjaka/blood
  • sadhaka/heart
  • alochaka/eyes
  • bhrajaka/skin

5 water of kapha

  • kledaka/stomach
  • avalambaka/heart
  • bodhaka/tongue
  • tarpaka/head
  • slesaka/joints

These are in requisite amount in the body.

 

Ingested food results in the formation of ann rasam i.e nutrients from the food which provide nutrition to the dhatus.
  • Rasa(plasma tissue)
  • Rakta (blood tissue)
  • mamsa(muscle tissue)
  • medas (fat tissue)
  • asthi (bone and cartilage tissue)
  • majja( bone marrow tissue)
  • shukra and artava (reproductive tissue)
All these dhatus should be in the required quantity.Neither in excess nor in less than required.

AGNI

It is well known that the health of an individual depends on the proper strength of his digestive power .There are several agni and one of them is Jatharagni and four agni are described under :
  • vishamagni (irregular)
  • tikshnagni (intense)
  • mandagni (sluggish)
  • samagni(balanced)
PRASANNA AATMA INDRIYA MANA means, eyes should see good ,nose should smell good ,skin should feel good and spirtualism should be followed and to promote health yoga is recommended . Swastha (Health) means to be 'established in the self'. The Ayurvedic view of healthy person is:He whose doshas are in balance, appetite is good, all tissues of the body and all natural urges are functioning properly, and whose mind, body and spirit (self) are cheerful or full of bliss, he is a healthy person.
